HOW WE HANDLE YOUR SUBMISSIONS
IJSESM EDITORIAL PROCESS
step 1
Manuscript
Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through our online submission system. The manuscript must adhere to the journal’s formatting and submission guidelines.
1
step 2
Initial
Evaluation
The editorial office conducts an initial check to ensure the submission complies with the journal’s guidelines and scope. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected outright.
2
step 3
Peer
Review
An editor with relevant expertise oversees the review process and assigns independent reviewers to evaluate the manuscript. Reviewers assess the submission based on originality, methodology, clarity, significance, and contribution to the field. After evaluation, reviewers provide feedback and recommend one of the following decisions: Accept, Accepted with Changes, Revisions, or Reject.
3
step 4
Decision
Making
Based on reviewers’ feedback, the editor makes a decision and may request revisions from the authors. Authors are expected to address all comments and resubmit the revised manuscript for further evaluation if necessary. After reviewing the revised submission, the editor makes the final decision, which may result in acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.

step 5
Paper
Publication
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting and proofreading to ensure clarity, accuracy, and proper formatting before publication. The final version is then published online in the International Journal of Sustainability in Engineering, Science and Management and made freely accessible to the global academic community through open access publishing.
5
step 6
Post-
Publication
Published articles in the International Journal of Sustainability in Engineering, Science and Management are indexed and archived in relevant academic databases and repositories to ensure wide visibility, accessibility, and long-term preservation. This helps increase research dissemination, discoverability, and citation opportunities within the global academic community.
